what is the difference the flat panel versus Plasma Television?
Plasma TVs are flat panel TVs, but not all flat panel TVs are plasma TVs.
Flat panel just means the TV is flat, so you can mount it on a wall like a picture (if the wall is strong enough!).
Currently flat panel TVs are made with either plasma or LCD technologies. LCD is the same technology used in laptop screens.
LCD technology is slowly winning out over plasma but in large size (>40″) sizes, plasma is usually cheaper.
If you crack either kind of flat panel you might as well buy a new TV, but plasma screens are more resistant to impact damage. An important point if you have little kids in the house. Good old tube TVs will take a lot more abuse than either flat panel technology.
All flat panel TVs have a flat screen, but you can buy tube type TVs that are flat screened. “Flat screened” just means the screen is flat if you check its surface with a straight edge.

High quality image is what plasma display is all about. It is preferred to be rented by most of the corporations especially when holding conferences and conventions. Videos are also great in plasma displays because of the high end resolution. Since it is inconvenient to bring this equipment along with your traveling, this stuff is often rented. Nothing is more practical then when renting if your business requires presenting from different parts of the country or world.
The available plasma displays in the market ranges 32 inches to 61 inches. They are slightly thicker for about 3×2 and are heavier than LCD monitors. They are fragile, so buying them would be a waste of money. You don’t know when this equipment will encounter incident that can damage it. With renting, you are worry-free about money-wasting.
